Harvey Elliot sends message to Liverpool fans after exit confession

Liverpool youngster Harvey Elliott took to social media to celebrate their 2-1 Champions League win over Lille on Tuesday (January 21), having confessed he wants to stay at the club.
Elliot, who scored the winner in the victory over Lille, celebrated his goal by making a ‘shut up’ gesture, seemingly signaling his intention to stay at the club.
Speaking to Amazon Prime after the game, Elliott shut down any talk of an exit, saying: “I think it’s pretty clear to be honest… I’m not leaving. I said it in an interview the other day, this is my team, this is my club, I’m a massive fan and we are in a great position so far this season.”
Mohamed Salah opened the scoring just after the half-hour mark thanks to an inch-perfect through ball from midfielder Curtis Jones.
Canada international Jonathan David bagged the equaliser soon after, latching onto a loose ball after Konstantinos Tsimikas failed to clear his lines before Elliott scored the winner five minutes later.

Elliott has seriously struggled for minutes since Slot took over, starting just two of his 12 games across all competitions, scoring two goals, and providing one assist in his 292 minutes of action.
The midfielder took to Instagram after the win over Lille, sharing an image of his celebration, among others, to commemorate the victory.
Sitting top of the table with seven wins from their seven games, Liverpool are the first team to qualify for the knock-out rounds.
Slot’s attention will return to the Premier League on Saturday (January 25) as they prepare for a visit from relegation-threatened Ipswich Town.
