Liverpool continued their remarkable start to the season on Saturday with a win against Crystal Palace.

The Reds' victory kept them at the top of the Premier League table, and, once again, the man of the hour was Ryan Gravenberch.

Gravenberch has earned all sorts of praise this season, and speaking on the Kelly and Wrighty Show, Ian Wright has, once again, hailed the midfielder.

Wright says that Gravenberch has been outstanding this season, and he says that he looks so much more confident as a player now that he has a level of momentum behind him.

Ian Wright praises Ryan Gravenberch

The pundit shared his verdict on the £35m man and his performances so far this season.

"I think it's good especially for someone like Gravenberch. The way he has adapted to that position, these games have given him confidence where he's got the momentum where he's outstanding," Wright said.

"Outstanding performances. What he's doing to show us is fantastic, he can dribble out of trouble, he can pass out of trouble. These games will only give him confidence for the games to come."

Will Liverpool sign another midfielder?

Liverpool's midfield was questioned heading into this season.

The Reds tried their best to sign a new holding midfield player as they made a move for Martin Zubimendi.

However, the Zubimendi Liverpool deal fell through and that led to Arne Slot utilising Ryan Gravenberch in a new position.

It's still early days, but Gravenberch's emergence may have changed Liverpool's view on signing a new midfielder.

Indeed, according to Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool are internally incredibly happy with Gravenberch and rumours of a new midfield signing are going quiet.

"We will see what happens, but that situation remains quiet and also Liverpool and Arne Slot are very happy with Ryan Gravenberch, he is doing fantastic, he's almost Man of the Match in every game, so for Liverpool this is the best news possible," Romano said.

The Reds' midfield was seen as a problem position heading into this season, but now, it's not a stretch to say that Gravenberch is indeed one of Liverpool's very best players.
