In the past week there’s been a lot of speculation surrounding the future of Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Mario Lemina.

The 31-year-old allegedly put in a transfer request with the Premier League side, but has since apologised.

However, reports of a possible transfer to Galatasaray haven't gone away in the Turkish media and journalist Burhan Can Terzi has spoken about the Istanbul side's pursuit for the former player.

Speaking to Haber Sarikirmizi, Can Terzi was asked about the Super Lig leaders interest in the Wolves player.

The Gala journalist claims Lemina is still interested in a return to Cimbom and attempts will be made to sign the player. Can Terzi said the Galatasaray are in the market for a central midfielder and Lemina fits this profile.

"Galatasaray have midfield candidates; the midfield has started to be looked at. In the midfield transfer, Lemina would love to come to Galatasaray. He's ready to come to Galatasaray," said the Turkish reporter.

In recent weeks the central midfielder has had struggles, especially under former manager Gary O'Neil.

Due to an injury to summer signing Gabriel Sara, Galatasaray are keen to sign a player in this position, who can also provide back up to Lucas Torreia.

Lemina has made 18 appearances for Wolves this season, scoring one goal. He's contracted to the Premier League side until the summer, but they have the option to extend for another season.
