Hibernian look set to miss out on midfielder despite tabling 'formal offer'

According to a claim in the Swedish media, Kuopion Palloseura midfielder Matias Siltanen is on the verge in signing for Djurgårdens IF.
The 17-year-old has been closely linked with Hibernian in the past week, but it seems they will miss out on the youngster to the Allsvenskan club.
Expressen today report on the latest developments regarding the future of Siltanen, following a battle between Hibernian and Djurgårdens IF to sign him in this window.
It's claimed the Swedish side have now reached an agreement with his club and that they will pay in the region of £850k to sign the highly rated youngster.
The Swedish media outlet also report Hibernian have come in with a 'formal offer' to sign the central midfielder and that he will make a decision on his future by the end of the week. Previous reports said both Hibs and Djurgårdens IF had initially offered £700k.
Siltanen made 18 starts in the recently concluded Veikkausliiga, scoring one goal. He's contracted to his club until December 2025.
