Callum Hudson-Odoi has sent a message to his Nottingham Forest teammate Danilo after he returned from injury in the FA Cup.

The 23-year-old came off the bench in the 85th minute to replace James Ward-Prowse as he got a few minutes under his legs.

Forest defeated Luton Town 2-0 to progress in the competition after goals from Ryan Yates and Ramon Sosa as their impressive season continues.

The Brazil international has been out of action for five months after breaking his leg on the opening day of the Premier League, in what has been a tough season for him personally.

However, it wasn't just Forest fans who were happy to see the influential midfielder make his return to the squad.

Hudson-Odoi took to social media to say, "Happy for you brother to be back!!"

Danilo will be a welcome boost for Nottingham Forest

Danilo will be a welcome boost for Nuno Espirito Santo, who has been without his services all season so far.

The midfielder joined the Premier League side in January 2022 and has gone on to play 50 times since then, scoring six goals in the process.

The youngster was a key figure in Forest's team last season, therefore adding him back into the mix will only strengthen the squad.

Danilo returns to a Forest team flying high in the Premier League as the club sits third in the table after 20 games.

Forest will be back in action on Tuesday (14 January) as they host league leaders Liverpool.
