Gabriel Magalhaes has been one of the standout performers for Arsenal so far this season, but it doesn’t seem as if he’s set to be rewarded right now.

Arsenal have a number of players attracting interest from other clubs around Europe, which is expected when you’re arguably one of the best clubs in the world.

Gabriel Magalhaes is currently attracting interest from Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain amid his current contract situation.

It has been claimed that Arsenal have already opened talks with the defender over a new deal at the Emirates, but there are contrasting reports.

At just 26 years of age, Gabriel still has his best years ahead of him, so Mikel Arteta won’t want to waste any time in tying him down to a new and improved deal.

However, Fabrizio Romano has provided a bit of an update on the contract situation and he has it slightly differently…

Fabrizio Romano has a contract update for Arsenal fans

It appears as if the Gunners are looking to tie down more of their star men after William Saliba put pen to paper on a four-year deal last summer, and Mikel Arteta most recently penned an extension.

Gabriel is in a stronger position and could even demand a deal similar to William Saliba, who is now on £190k-a-week at Arsenal, according to Charles Watts.

However, Fabrizio Romano has played down things slightly when speaking for Caught Offside.

"Gabriel Magalhaes was the hero for Arsenal against Tottenham at the weekend, and my fellow columnist Charles Watts discussed his performance and his future in his latest column here.

"I can confirm more or less the same – it's something at an early stage, with nothing particularly concrete so far. For sure Arsenal want to keep all their stars and Gabriel is one of them. It will be a topic in the next months, but nothing imminent."

Arsenal eyeing move for Jamal Musiala from Bayern Munich

In other news, Arsenal already have one eye on the transfer window.

It was exclusively revaled by TBR that Mikel Arteta is keeping tabs on Jamal Musiala’s contract situation at Bayern Munich, with the youngster stalling over a potential new deal.

However, it remains to be seen as to how much the Gunners would want to spend on the midfielder, as last year he was rumoured to be valued at more than £87 million, and his value has only increased since.

With Martin Odegaard currently out injured, Musiala is the perfect type of player to fill into his position and provide that creativity that has been missing for Arsenal.

He already has three goals and two assists in five games for Bayern Munich this season.
