Yasin Ayari has made the breakthrough with Brighton & Hove Albion this season after previously being loaned out to Blackburn Rovers and Coventry City.

The midfielder has made nine Premier League appearances for the Seagulls in the current campaign, and has impressed with his performances.

This has led to him being called up by Sweden’s national team for the recent international breaks and the 21-year-old started for his country against Slovakia at the weekend, impressing pundits and Tottenham’s Dejan Kulusevski.

He spoke to Hallands Nyheter after the game and stated: "A perfectly fine effort. I go out and do my thing, I’m comfortable there. I try to perform as well as possible and it feels good right now."

He went on to say: "It is easy to play with fantastic players like those three, but the whole team is doing damn well."

The Brighton man has also praised by Tottenham Hotspur’s Dejan Kulusevski, who had been deputising as the Sweden captain during the last international break.

The Spurs star said: "Yasin was incredible today too. It bodes well that he will also come forward. All of a sudden there are players after players. Yasin is one of them and I am incredibly proud of him."

This was big praise for Yasin from a senior teammate, who himself has impressed for Tottenham this season.

Ayari has already played more for Brighton in this campaign than he did during the second half of last season with Blackburn. It seems Fabian Hurzeler trusts the Swede and has made him part of his plans.
