Wolves face Brentford this weekend in what is an important game for both sides.

Wolves currently sit bottom of the Premier League and will be hoping to pull themselves off the foot of the table this weekend.

Meanwhile, Brentford sit in mid-table, but after three games without a win, they will be hoping that their form can pick up soon.

This is a very difficult game to predict. Wolves may be bottom of the league, but they have put in some decent performances as of late. The Midlands club looked solid against Liverpool last week.

Brentford can also say the same as their recent fast starts have bloodied the noses of both Manchester City and Tottenham.

Writing in his column for the BBC, Chris Sutton has been previewing this game, and he's predicted a Brentford win this weekend.

Chris Sutton tips Brentford to beat Wolves

Sutton shared his verdict on how this game will go.

"Wolves are still bottom, with only one point so far, but they have actually been playing OK – including in last week’s defeat against Liverpool," Sutton wrote.

"Eventually it will click for Gary O'Neil’s side, and maybe it will happen here, but I also think Brentford have been better than their recent results have suggested.

"The Bees have scored in the first minute of their past three league games, so Wolves need to be prepared for a fast start.

"Brentford did not go on to win any of those matches, but I have a feeling they will get over the line here, especially because they are at home."

Gary O'Neil could be in trouble

If Sutton's prediction does come true and Brentford beat Wolves this weekend, Gary O'Neil's job could be in serious trouble.

Wolves aren't playing badly, but football is a results-based business, and if the Molineux outfit start the season with one point from seven games, a managerial change could be in the offing.

O'Neil is a talented coach who probably doesn't deserve the results he has gotten this season, but football is a cut throat business and the Wolves boss could be in trouble if he doesn't get a result this weekend.

O’Neil’s job could well be on the line this weekend.
