"I have no plans to go" – Fulham star insists he'll be staying, determined to put controversy straight

Fulham goalkeeper Bernd Leno has insisted he won't be leaving the club any time soon, particularly to return to Germany.
Kicker cover comments from the Fulham number one today made to the Klick and Rush podcast in which he again defended his decision to turn down a call-up by Germany and his future at Craven Cottage.
The 32-year-old has been with Fulham since a €3.6m move from Arsenal in August 2022 and has been the undisputed number one at the club since.
His current deal with Marco Silva's side runs until 2027 but includes an option for Fulham to extend it by another year if they wish to do so.
It seems Leno would be happy if that were to happen as he is loving life in London after his time with Arsenal and now Fulham.
“I can tell the Fulham fans with confidence that I have no plans to go to Germany again. I love London and always say how awesome the Premier League is," he said when asked about his future.
At the moment the focus is on Leno for all the wrong reasons as he continues to face criticism for his recent rejection of Germany.
The Fulham man turned down a call-up to the Germany squad in the last international break after talks with Julian Nagelsmann and his coaching team.
He made it clear that he had no interest in being the third choice in the squad, with it made clear he would not be a number one despite him impressing in the Premier League.
He has received plenty of criticism for that and explained his decision to various outlets, but still wants to get the message out to any questioning him.
"It was presented as if I had told the national coach that I would only come if I was number one. That was not the case," he added.
"It didn't sound like I'd get a chance. I wasn’t even there in September. So, I’ve already noticed a little bit in which direction things are going.”
