Tottenham Hotspur prodigy Mikey Moore made his full senior debut in Spurs’ Europa League win over Ferencvaros on Thursday night.

Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou named Moore and Will Lankshear in a competitive starting XI for the first time in both players’ careers.

Moore has made waves at the Tottenham academy in recent years and, at just 17 years of age, he has already clocked up five competitive appearances for Spurs.

Moore, who played the full 90 minutes, was heavily involved in Tottenham’s first goal, getting the ball rolling with bright run from the right touchline.

The loose ball then fell to Pape Matar Sarr, who scored in the 23rd minute with a low effort from inside the six-yard box.

Spurs went on to double their lead through the in-form Brennan Johnson on 86 minutes as he shifted the ball onto his left foot and fired in off the woodwork.

Although Ferencvaros set up a nervy finish through Barnabas Varga's 90th-minute strike, the Lilywhites held on for their fifth victory in a row.

Glenn Hoddle, covering the game on TNT Sports, spoke highly about Moore and explained what he likes about the Spurs gem.

Glenn Hoddle likes Mikey Moore desire to take players on

Hoddle said, as transcribed by BBC Sport: “I like the way Mikey Moore likes to take people on, he looks you in the eye and says ‘I’m going to run at you’.”

This was evident in the end-of-game stats, with Sofascore showing that the teenager attempted six dribbles on the night.

Moore also clocked up some impressive stats in terms of ground duels, winning six of his 14 attempts. He also made one key pass and created one big chance.

All in all, it was a great display from Moore. And obviously we cannot forget that he only turned 17 in August, which suggests he could be a real star in the making.
