Arsenal have a plethora of incredible young players on their books.

One of them is Myles Lewis-Skelly, who Gary Lineker tipped for stardom due to having the confidence to go straight to the top.

Another name that springs to mind is Max Dowman, who Declan Rice called “unreal” as he has trained with the Gunners’ senior team on several instances despite just being 15.

Ethan Nwaneri is a sensation himself and has shown this season that he has all the talent in the world to become a superstar for both club and country one day.

James McAtee says Arsenal gem Ethan Nwaneri is “world-class”

Arsenal wonderkid Nwaneri grabbed the headlines for his national side recently, scoring a goal against Portugal’s Under-21 side as Lee Carsley’s side won 4-2.

The 17-year-old has earned rave reviews this campaign, with Gary Lineker describing Nwaneri as a “real talent” as well.

While Joe Cole predicted Nwaneri to become a “genius” with time and a regular in the senior England side.

But having trained and played with Nwaneri, McAtee told the Daily Mail that he is already a “world-class” player while raving about his displays in training: “He’s a class player and in training he's been unbelievable.”

McAtee added that Nwaneri is an extraordinary finisher: “I’m so impressed with him. I was doing finishing drills with him the other day and he was ridiculous, he wasn’t missing! I was struggling to get them in and he just wasn't missing, both feet as well. He's a world class player.”

What Ethan Nwaneri is actually like as a character at Arsenal

Considering the Manchester City midfielder is one of England’s most talented young players himself, his high praise for the teenager speaks volumes of how gifted he is.

But McAtee is five years older than Nwaneri, which is perhaps why he has been left especially stunned by how accomplished he already looks.

The good news for Arsenal is that Jack Wilshere believes Nwaneri is “really driven” as a character, shedding two aspects about his habits behind the scenes that stand out.

Wilshere said: “Ethan is just really driven. He'd come and seek advice from coaches. In the world we live in now, with social media and all these other distractions for players, it’s harder.”

“Some players get distracted but Ethan and Myles were never like that.”
