Liverpool v Manchester United team news
Joe Gomez has been ruled out for several weeks due to a hamstring injury he picked up in the win over against West Ham.
However, fellow Liverpool defenders Conor Bradley and Ibrahima Konate have both returned to full training.
In addition, Reds midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai is available again after serving a one-match ban.
As for Manchester United, midfielders Bruno Fernandes and Manuel Ugarte are available after missing out against Newcastle due to suspension.
Marcus Rashford is a doubt due to illness, while Victor Lindelof, Luke Shaw and Mason Mount have been out of action due to injury.
Liverpool predicted XI v Manchester United
Most of Liverpool’s back line picks itself at present, with Alisson Becker in goal and Andrew Robertson, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold starting once again.
Slot has a decision to make with regards to Van Dijk’s centre-back partner on the day, with Gomez now injured and Konate only just back from injury.
The Liverpool boss may not want to risk Konate from the off after returning from injury, so Jarell Quansah could potentially start in Gomez’s place.
Alexis Mac Allister and Ryan Gravenberch have been superb in the Reds midfield this season and both should keep their places too.
With Szoboszlai now back from suspension, he’ll be raring to go, so Slot could well replace Curtis Jones with the £60million man for the game.
Mohamed Salah will hope for another fruitful encounter with Man United, while Cody Gakpo and Luis Diaz are both in great form and are likely to stay in the XI.
