Ibrahima Konate responded via social media to Mohamed Salah before Liverpool play Tottenham in the Carabao Cup semi-final.
Arne Slot's side were held to a frustrating 2-2 draw against bitter rivals Manchester United, despite goals from Cody Gakpo and Salah.
Konaté, who had been sidelined since Liverpool's 2-0 Champions League victory over Real Madrid in November due to a knee injury, missed nine matches before finally returning to action.
Amid controversy over Salah's recent Instagram post featuring out-of-contract teammates Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk, Konaté added to the social media buzz.
The defender reposted Salah's latest photo on his Instagram story, which included himself, the Egyptian winger, and Kostas Tsimikas.

However, injuries have been a recurring issue for Konaté since he joined the club. Between the 2022/23 and 2023/24 seasons, he missed a total of 37 games.
This season alone, he has already been sidelined for nine matches [Transfermarkt].
Despite his injury struggles, Liverpool's hierarchy remain confident in his potential and values his impact when fit.
