Ibrox player Nicolas Raskin has one good game against Celtic and makes his Belgium debut, now he's worth £30 million! Simply amazing!

If you want your value as a player to soar in a short space of time, then by a country mile, Ibrox is the best place to be.
Forget Celtic, players do not increase in value at the same rate at Celtic Park, it only happens at Ibrox.
It doesn’t matter if you win nothing at Ibrox, it’s just the fact that you play there that counts.
As we’ve been told categorically anyway by the hundreds of Ibrox supporters who flooded the podcast after our last podcast; winning trebles means nothing.
Getting places in the Europa League is what matters most.
And beating the likes of Jose Mourinho’s old age pensioners is the kind of thing that helps your value to soar exponentially.
Playing for Celtic really is a dead end career move.
As Arne Engels has found out to his detriment.
And I’ll tell you why!
Because in the last few weeks, Ibrox player Nicolas Raskin has turned into a superstar.
Which surely means he must be worth at least £30 million now?
Making his debut for Belgium last Thursday, Raskin was selected again on Sunday to face the Ukraine for their two-legged Nations League tie.
He was named as player of the match in a 3-0 win, which has all of the Ibrox support in raptures.
They were very quick to point out that Arne Engels cost Celtic £11 million and he wasn’t selected for Belgium.
They were also very quick to point out that Arne Engels was worth more than most of their starting eleven after they defeated us at Celtic Park on the 16th of March.
Well, since Arne Engels seems to be the target of most of their ridicule, I think it’s time for some home truths.
Nicolas Raskin will win nothing for the Ibrox side this season.
Arne Engels is on target to land three trophies in his debut season for Celtic.
Nicolas Raskin will NOT, contrary to popular deluded belief, win the Europa League.
That particular adventure will be at the beginning of it’s end on the 10th of April.
Arne Engels already has four caps for Belgium, so he has done enough in the recent past to warrant selection for his national side.
Engels made his international debut for Belgium at the age of 20.
Nicolas Raskin made his at the age of 24.
I’m going to make a prediction about Arne Engels, and I will be proved right over the course of time.
The Belgian youngster will net Celtic a huge transfer fee when he eventually moves on from the club.
I confidently guarantee he will make more money than the Ibrox side will make for Nicolas Raskin, if and when they eventually sell him.
God knows, it won’t be for the want of trying from here on out.
Now I’m not saying that Raskin isn’t a decent player, it’s quite evident he is.
Just because I support Celtic doesn’t mean that I don’t recognise the fact he is solid midfielder.
What I am saying is that he is not going to reach the levels Arne Engels will reach.
Arne Engels is 3 years younger than Raskin.
Engels has already played 51 times in the Bundesliga for Augsburg.
By the end of this season, it’s quite possible he’ll have three winners medals.
Raskin will have none.
So, while every media outlet in Scotland will try and increase Raskin’s value on behalf of the Ibrox side, just as they attempted to do last week with Hamza Igamane, not one of them will speak about Arne Engels.
Not one of them will place a value on Engels throughout his career with Celtic.
Until they’re desperate for him to move on, that is, or to use what he cost Celtic as a rod to beat him with.
And when one club makes a big offer for him, they’ll do their utmost to expedite the process.
Then they’ll have no problem speaking about his value then.
Arne Engels will do his talking on the park, he won’t need the SMSM to evaluate him.
No, scouts from big clubs will do that for themselves.
And when the big offer comes in, it’ll be the real deal.
Just as it has always been at Celtic.
Despite their players consistently having HUGE values placed on them, the Ibrox club made £1.8 million in transfers last season.
Celtic made almost £40 million.
That’s why I know Arne Engels will make Celtic much more than Raskin will make the Ibrox side.
The proof is in the £38.2 million difference.
I rest my case.
