'In for a whooping': Jamie O'Hara says he's so 'confident' one thing will happen when Tottenham face Arsenal

Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are preparing to lock horns in the first North London derby of the 2024-25 Premier League campaign.

The Gunners won the corresponding fixture 3-2 last season and played out a 2-2 draw against their bitter rivals at home, holding an upper hand in this fixture after Ange Postecoglou’s arrival.

The Spurs boss is yet to get one over Arsenal but will be licking his lips at the possibility of nicking a result on Sunday, with Mikel Arteta’s side short of options in midfield.

And Jamie O’Hara believes Tottenham will record a famous victory over Arsenal in front of their home fans if things manage to go their way.

Tottenham have picked up just four points from their first three games but have played much better than what their points tally suggests.

Arsenal, on the other hand, are short of options in midfield due to Declan Rice’s suspension and injuries to Mikel Merino and Martin Odegaard.

O’Hara believes the stars are aligning for Tottenham as he predicted his former team to secure all three points.

"What if it clicks? It's going to click. You can't say we played poorly,” said O’Hara about Spurs’ first three games on talkSPORT.

“Our defending needs to be better and our finishing needs to be better, but our overall game in 90 minutes has been good. We have had loads of possession. We have created chances.

“If it clicks on Sunday, they are in a whooping. I am confident on Sunday we are going to rock up and give them a whooping. The place is going to be rocking."

Paul Merson thinks Arsenal will play out a 1-1 draw against Tottenham as he expressed concerns over the Gunners’ midfield in the absence of Rice and Odegaard.

While Alan Shearer didn’t mention a scoreline, he also feels Arsenal and Tottenham will share the spoils in an entertaining game.

Aaron Lennon, on the other hand, feels Spurs will record a famous victory, agreeing with O’Hara’s prediction.

Current form is usually thrown out of the window in games like this and it remains to be seen what happens on Sunday.
