Insider: Tottenham-wanted star 'certain' to leave this summer after Spurs reveal

Tyler Dibling is “certain” to leave Southampton if they are relegated from the Premier League at the end of a disastrous season at St Mary’s.
That is according to former Man United and Tottenham scout Mick Brown, who remains very well-connected within the game, as he exclusively told Football Insider that the 19-year-old has no shortage of suitors after an impressive individual year.
A fee of around £25million is expected to be enough to tempt the Saints into what would be their fourth-highest sale since the departure of Virgil van Dijk in 2018.
Dibling has enjoyed a breakthrough season in the Premier League this year despite his team’s struggles, and has attracted attention from a number of top clubs.
Football Insider journalist Connor Humm recently explained that Ange Postecoglou wants to sign the Southampton winger, who would be an “unbelievable” signing.
This comes as Tottenham plan to add further quality to their attacking options in the summer amid speculation about the future of Son Heung-min.

Brown previously told Football Insider that Tottenham are planning an offer for Dibling in the summer while scouts have been tracking his progress in the top tier.
Now, the former scout who has a wealth of experience in top-level player recruitment after over a decade at Man United during their most successful period, has insisted the winger fits with what Spurs are trying to build under Postecoglou.
“Somebody will come along for Dibling at the end of the season,” he told Football Insider.
“I can’t see Southampton doing much about that if they’re relegated.
“They’re going to have to make sales, and he’s the outstanding candidate for that given his value and the level of interest there is in him.
“I think an offer of around £25million would be enough to get that done.
“I can see him making the move to Tottenham because they’re aiming to buy that sort of player.
“They’ve got Wilson Odobert, Lucas Bergvall, Archie Gray, Mikey Moore all coming into the team.
“So there are quite a few young players in that team and I think they’ll want to add Dibling to that group.
“I imagine Tottenham will be preparing to make an offer for him at the end of the season.
“And I think it’s a certainty that he will leave Southampton, I can’t see him staying there if there are offers coming in for him.”

Postecoglou is keen to strengthen his Tottenham squad not just immediately but also with one eye on the future, with a number of young players on their radar.
The potential addition of Dibling to a group of young players at Spurs would be the next part of that plan, while their scouts have been closely watching Sunderland star Jobe Bellingham.
Brown told Football Insider on 17 February that both Spurs and Crystal Palace want to sign Bellingham, as the Sunderland are prepared to accept offers this summer.
If the Black Cats fail to achieve promotion to the Premier League, they will be powerless to resist interest in the 19-year-old, inspiring plenty of attention.
