'Interpreted as new message' – Wolves player thought to have given social media transfer hint

Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Gonçalo Guedes is eyeing a move to Valencia.
That’s according to Orgullo Biri, who state the 28-year-old aims to be the La Liga side’s big signing in the summer window.
The attacking midfielder spent five years at Valencia before moving to Wolves in August 2022.
Guedes hasn’t managed to replicate his Los Ches form at Molineux or while on loan at either Benfica or Villarreal last season.
He recently shared a photo with Thierry Correia on social media, with a bat emoji. The outlet says Valencia’s fans ‘interpreted this as a new message’ about the 28-year-old wanting to return to the club.
Despite the Portuguese attacker’s desire, the move depends on new Valencia president and Peter Lim’s son, Lim Wee Kiat. He’ll have the final word on all club business, including signings.
Lim Wee Kiat has instructed club officials to avoid making large investments and this would make it difficult for Guedes to return to Valencia. That’s because his contract lasts until 2027, and Wolves are unlikely to let him leave for peanuts.
Guedes has managed five goals and five assists from 27 games for Wolves this season.
