Arsenal defeated Tottenham Hotspur 1-0 in the North London derby on Sunday afternoon.

Gabriel netted the only goal of the game as he headed home Bukayo Saka’s corner just after the hour mark.

Jurrien Timber hailed Gabriel post-match for his battling display and overall, it was a really spirited display by the visitors.

Kai Havertz, speaking after the derby, shared what his Arsenal teammates really think about Raheem Sterling after his first couple of weeks at the club.

Kai Havertz says Arsenal players love having Raheem Sterling around

Speaking to Stadium Astro, Havertz waxed lyrical about summer signing Raheem Sterling and noted the dressing room is really happy to have him.

“It's incredible,” the 25-year-old said.

“I had the joy to play with him at Chelsea. He's an incredible player. If you see his stats in the Premier League it's outstanding.

“You see how much quality he brings to the team and I think we are all very happy to have him.”

Raheem Sterling could start vs Atalanta

Sterling made his Arsenal debut off the bench yesterday and could start from the off against Atalanta in the Champions League on Thursday.

Gabriel Martinelli was given the nod so considering there’s a pretty short turnaround, Arteta may opt for the fresh legs of Sterling on the left.

Plus, the former Manchester City attacker has plenty of European experience and will be well-equipped to perform on the biggest stage in club football.
