Posting a picture of the baby holding a hand, Grealish said: “Mila Rose Grealish 27/09/24.”

And Attwood, posting the same picture said: “27/09/24. Mila Rose Grealish. The most special moment of my life.”

Grealish and Attwood are childhood sweethearts and welcome their tot after ten years of dating.

A number of Grealish’s teammates past and present went on to pass their congratulations to the couple.

Aston Villa legend and talkSPORT host Gabby Agbonlahor said: “Congrats bro.”

Villa midfielder Ross Barkley commented: “Congrats lad.”

And England international Dele Alli said: “Congrats.”

Grealish played in Manchester City’s 1-1 draw at Newcastle on September 28, meaning he went back to work the day after Mila was born.

The couple announced they were having a child together in July with Attwood showing her baby bump.

She shared the good news on social media along with the caption: “Half of me, half of you – beyond blessed.”

Meanwhile Grealish wrote: “Life's biggest blessing.”

Grealish and Attwood started dating when when they were teenagers at school together in Solihull.

They’ve been together throughout Grealish’s football career, which began at hometown club Villa.

After breaking into the England team before Euro 2020, Grealish completed a then-Premier League record £100million transfer to Man City in the summer of 2021.

He initially struggled at the Etihad Stadium but still managed to win the Premier League in his first season at City.

Grealish’s second season was much better as he began to get to grips with Pep Guardiola’s playing style, and the 28-year-old contributed five goals and 11 assists in a memorable season that saw City win the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League treble.

However, a tough third season at the club saw Grealish miss out on a place in the England squad at Euro 2024.

He’s since fought his way back into the Three Lions reckoning, scoring in the 2-0 victory over the Republic of Ireland last month under interim boss Lee Carsley.
