Man City star Jack Grealish has taken to social media to respond to Aston Villa forward Morgan Rogers after their 3-2 Champions League win over RB Leipzig on Tuesday (December 10).
Rogers, 22, played the full 90 minutes in German as Unai Emery’s side took one big step towards qualification for the next round thanks to goals from John McGinn, Jhon Duran, and Ross Barkley.
Villa now occupy fifth place in the new Champions League league phase, amassing 13 points from their first six matches, with crucial fixtures against Monaco and Celtic yet to play.
The young England international has been key to Emery’s plans so far this season, starting all 21 of his appearances across all competitions, scoring four goals, and providing three assists in 1742 minutes of action.

Grealish, 29, has struggled at Man City this season, starting just nine of his 17 appearances across all competitions, scoring zero goals and providing just two assists, yielding a total of 837 minutes on the pitch.
Man City haven’t been quite as successful as Villa in Europe, losing 2-0 to Italian giants Juventus on Wednesday (December 11).
Rogers took to Instagram to celebrate Villa’s impressive win, captioning the post: “I enjoyed that. What a performance that was,” which Grealish promptly liked.
Pep Guardiola’s side now face the very real threat of being eliminated from the Champions League at the first hurdle, sitting in 22nd with eight points from six games.
The Premier League champions now have just one win in their last 10 games across all competitions, their worst run since Guardiola took over in 2016.
