Tottenham completely imploded at Brighton and Hove Albion today as they lost 3-2 to continue their inconsistent form under Ange Postecoglou.

Tottenham were indeed leading by two goals at the break and looked more than on their way to a welcome three points before the international break.

However, Brighton came out flying and completely nullified Dominic Solanke in the second 45 to ensure it was they who picked up a huge win.

For Tottenham, it was just more and more of the same old problems and defensively, they were all over the place.

And taking to X to vent his frustration, self-confessed Tottenham fan and now pundit, Jamie O’Hara, used a gif of Jose Mourinho to sum up his annoyance.

Jamie O’Hara furious with Tottenham at Brighton

Taking to social media to share the now infamous clip of Mourinho saying he prefers not to speak about referees, O’Hara made his thoughts on Spurs clear.

Same old Tottenham as they capitulate again

For all the excellent work Ange Postecoglou might have done at Tottenham, the inconsistencies and defensive issues on display must be infuriating for Spurs fans.

This today was just another example of where the term ‘Spursy’ comes from and heading into the break, they are nowhere near where they need to be.

That first half should have put them out of sight and quite what the Tottenham defenders are doing at times must baffled the manager.

Destiny Udogie had a nightmare to open the door, while Rodrigo Bentancur effectively pulled out of the tackle that led to Danny Welbeck’s goal.

Over the next few months, Ange Postecoglou needs to get a grip on this from his team.

Over the course of the season, it’s going to cost them massively and with the top four the aim, they look like they’ll short once again.
