The Arne Slot era has begun at Liverpool, and it's fair to say that we will see a different version of the Reds in the coming months.

Indeed, after nine years of Jurgen Klopp, Liverpool now have a new manager, and with a new manager comes a new tactical approach.

Slot's tactical approach has been something of a mystery over the past few months as we've awaited to see what his Liverpool team will look like.

Now, we've had our first peek at Slot's Liverpool after a 1-0 win in a pre-season friendly against Real Betis.

Speaking on the Official Liverpool Podcast, Jarrell Quansah has been discussing Slot's tactics after this game, and he's highlighted one big difference between the Dutchman and his predecessor.

The difference between Jurgen Klopp and Arne Slot

Quansah shared his verdict on his new manager's style.

"Yeah that's it. It's just about how quickly we adapt really. The new style, the new formation. It will all come together at some point, it's just about how fast that is," Quansah said.

"Yeah definitely (I have noticed a difference from Klopp), there are a lot of the same messages, but there is so much that's different,"

"A lot more structure in possession as you probably saw with a few nice passages of play. You can see a lot of patterns we're trying to get used to. There are a lot of messages we're trying to put into our performances, but I'm sure you'll see them sooner or later."

Liverpool may take a while to adapt

Liverpool are going through a serious change right now, and it may take them some time to get up to speed with Slot's system.

As Quansah says, there's a lot more structure on the ball, and that may come as something of a culture shock to many of these players who have only known what it's like to play under Klopp.

Don't be shocked if Liverpool do have something of a slow start going into this season.
