West Ham are facing a significant number of player departures in the summer, and the chances of Jarrod Bowen and Mohammed Kudus being part of that have now emerged.

This has been a disappointing season for the Hammers, with the appointment of Graham Potter as manager back in January failing to really provide an upturn in results off the back of the disastrous Julen Lopetegui reign.

The club are currently 17th in the Premier League table, albeit they are 15 points clear of the relegation zone with five games left to play.

There is likely to be an exodus of players from the London Stadium, with it understood ten senior players could leave West Ham in the summer after being deemed surplus to requirements.

Jarrod Bowen and Mohammed Kudus exit chances emerge

According to a new update from The Guardian, West Ham are confident that Bowen will not seek a move away from the club ahead of next season.

The England international has again been a standout performer in the current campaign, and has a contract at the London Stadium until the summer of 2030.

By contrast, the Hammers have said to have accepted that selling Kudus may be their best chance of raising funds to boost their summer transfer budget, as the club and agents are currently working on the basis that there won’t be much money to spend.

The winger initially excelled after joining the club in the summer of 2023, but has endured a significant dip in form this season.

That has led to claims that the likes of Arsenal are holding off moving for Kudus due to concerns over his performances.

However, this update has stated that Saudi Arabian side Al-Nassr are interested in the Ghana international, with a release clause in his contract due to become active for a period this summer.

While West Ham are not expected to push Kudus out of the club, they have apparently accepted that losing the winger wouldn’t be seen as a “disaster”.

The 24-year-old is one of the few players in their squad who it is thought could generate a sizeable fee in the window.

Although there is doubt over whether the winger would be open to a move to Saudi Arabia, the Hammers expect Premier League and European interest in him which could increase the chances of a move.

Meanwhile, Emerson Palmieri, Konstantinos Mavropanos and Edson Álvarez are all reportedly available, . while Tomas Soucek could reunite with David Moyes at Everton, and concerns over Jean-Clair Todibo's fitness record could mean he also leaves after his loan from Nice is made permanent.

Carlos Soler and Evan Ferguson are expected to return to Paris Saint-Germain and Brighton respectively when their loans end.

West Ham to welcome fresh transfer update

Football Insider Verdict

It is clear that there is need for a major squad overhaul at the London Stadium this summer, with expectations a long way from being met this season.

The fact that is the case just a year after Lopetegui and Tim Steidten carried out the previous overhaul after Moyes exit is a testament to how badly that went.

Indeed, Potter is said to be excited about the summer transfer window at West Ham, but funds to make those new signings is going to have to come from somewhere.

With that in mind, fans of the club will likely be pleased with the way that things could be set to play out judging by this update.

Kudus is undoubtedly a quality player, but he has struggled to find anything like his top form at the London Stadium for several months now.

As a result, West Ham may see it as a positive result if they can earn a big fee for him to fund those signings, without having to lose a player in Bowen who continues to be so important to them.

So after such a frustrating season on the pitch, it does appear as though there may now at least be some hope for the club off it heading into the summer.
