Jean-Philippe Mateta remained positive in his message to Crystal Palace fans following their well-earned point at the Emirates Stadium.

Crystal Palace twice came from behind to hold Arsenal to a 2-2 draw on 23 April in a spirited display that showcased their growing confidence under Oliver Glasner.

Eberechi Eze fired in a spectacular volley from a corner to cancel out Jakub Kiwior's early header, before Leandro Trossard restored the home side's lead just before the break.

But it was Mateta who grabbed the headlines late on, coming off the bench to score a superb equaliser. Mateta caught David Raya off his line and lifting a precise effort over the goalkeeper from distance to seal the draw.

Mateta delivered a “stunning” display during his cameo, troubling the Arsenal defence with his movement and physicality, and played a crucial role in earning a valuable point for the visitors.

Following the game, he shared a short but uplifting message with fans, celebrating both the result and the team's continued progress.

Crystal Palace to hold talks with Jean-Philippe Mateta amid Arsenal and Man United interest

Mateta had a short but confident message for Crystal Palace supporters on Instagram after the draw with Arsenal, simply writing: "Good point."

His post received a warm reaction from teammates, including Adam Wharton and former Palace defender Trevoh Chalobah, who both liked the post. Rising star Romain Esse also chimed in, commenting "Boom!" in reference to Mateta's trademark celebration.

The 27-year-old striker has enjoyed a standout season, scoring 17 goals and registering three assists in all competitions, becoming one of the most influential figures under Oliver Glasner.

Football Insider revealed Crystal Palace are set to hold contract talks with Mateta to secure his future, as interest continues to build from Premier League rivals Arsenal and Manchester United.

Some Man United supporters have already voiced their desire to see Mateta signed this summer, with the forward fitting the mould of a powerful number nine. However, Palace remain firm in their stance and want to keep hold of their talisman beyond this season.

Oliver Glasner focused on Crystal Palace silverware despite Tottenham links

It's not just players attracting attention at Selhurst Park, with Tottenham eyeing Glasner as a possible successor to Ange Postecoglou in the likely outcome he leaves this summer.

Despite the speculation, Football Insider revealed that Crystal Palace are preparing to open talks with Glasner over a new deal. After a rocky start to the season, he's guided the team to stability and has inspired renewed belief among fans.

Next up, Glasner's side will shift their focus to Wembley, as they prepare for a crucial FA Cup semi-final against Aston Villa on 26 April. With silverware in sight, Palace are aiming to cap off a remarkable turnaround with a historic finish to the season.
