Joao Felix is a fraud' – Chelsea fans react to transfer decision

Chelsea fans haven’t held back on social media after an update concerning Joao Felix’s future at Stamford Bridge.
Felix is fast-approaching the last-chance saloon at Chelsea following two unsuccessful spells in West London, having failed to impress in his 2023 loan move, and then since signing permanently last summer.
Enzo Maresca made clear that he’s no fan of Felix by sending the 25-year-old out on loan to Milan in January, having seen him score just a single Premier League goal despite a further six in all competitions.
The former Benfica man, whose move to Atletico Madrid in 2019 still makes him the world’s fourth-most expensive player, has also failed to find form at San Siro, and is yet to score in eight Serie A appearances.
Having not seen the best of Felix across either of his spells at Stamford Bridge, question marks hang over Todd Boehly’s coming decision on a player who still has six years left to run on his Chelsea contract.
AC Milan make Joao Felix transfer decision
Football Insider revealed on 7 February that Milan planned to let Felix return to Chelsea at the end of the season, and the out-of-form frontman has done little to change their minds in the two months since.
Club | Appearances | Starts | Goals | Assists | Games Missed |
Chelsea | 28 | 8 | 7 | 2 | 13 |
AC Milan | 11 | 6 | 1 | 1 | 0 |
Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has since reported via his X account (1 April) that Milan won’t be pursuing a permanent move for the Portuguese, having failed to be convinced by Felix’s performances.
Chelsea are set to reassess Felix’s situation come the summer with a view to finding a new club for Felix, but given he’s barely one season into a seven-year contract, this will be much easier said than done.
Chelsea fans all say the same thing about Joao Felix development
News that Felix is in line to return for Stamford Bridge this summer – following 40 appearances, 11 goals and £54.2million spent across his two spells – has left Chelsea fans with next to no surprise whatsoever.
Verdicts of “useless”, “liability” and “fraud” were given on social media as Blues fans responded to the prospect of being stuck with Felix and his lengthy contract, once again, and little blame towards Milan.
Few were shocked to learn that Milan aren’t fond of signing him permanently, and given how keen Aston Villa were to sign Felix in January, Chelsea will have their fingers crossed that Unai Emery remains a fan.
Joao Felix is the most useless player I have ever seen in my life.

Honestly I feel for Joao Felix, he is still young, imagine no club wants to have him playing for their team at this stage of his career is crazy, it's really gonna affect him mentally.

Joao Felix will end up back at Benfica. He has failed to realize his prodigious talents, even though he has had multiple opportunities to play at top European clubs.
