Joshua Zirkzee lost for words over instant 'natural' relationship with Man United teammate

Joshua Zirkzee ended his 12-game Premier League goal drought with a brace against Everton on Sunday.
Despite failing to score in the league since his debut strike against Fulham on the Premier League’s opening day, Zirkzee repaid the faith new Manchester United manager, Ruben Amorim, showed in him by netting either side of the half-time break against the Toffees.
The 23-year-old’s efforts, combined with Rashford’s brace, sealed a 4-0 victory and extended Amorim’s three-game unbeaten start to life in the Old Trafford dugout.
It wasn’t just the two goalscorers whose performances were worthy of praise though.
Joshua Zirkzee loving Amad link-up
Amad enjoyed another impressive performance in his new right wing-back role with the 22-year-old adding to his contributions after setting up Zirkzee’s second.
"Just natural, I think, but same with all the other guys," Zirkzee told the Independent about his relationship with Amad. "Of course it takes some time to have connections in a team when you're new.
“With Amad, it's very easy to play but same with all the other players in the team. He always gives you an option. It just comes natural. I wish I could explain really."
Despite spending hundreds of millions of pounds on high-potential wingers, nearly all have failed to produce in the position that is arguably United’s most iconic.
Zirkzee and Amad’s dynamic link-up play, especially down the right flank, looks to be reversing that trend though with Amorim recently crediting Ruud Van Nistlerooy for Amad’s development.
Pair set to feature against Arsenal amid Bruno Fernandes injury woes
Next up for the Red Devils is an exciting away Premier League matchup against Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal.
The Gunners sit nine points off Arne Slot’s table-topping Liverpool and know anything less than all three points against United will all-but end their title hopes, so the pressure, for both sides, to perform, is on.
Amorim has been dealt a potentially significant injury blow ahead of Wednesday night’s encounter at the Emirates.
Midfielder and club captain Bruno Fernandes was substituted against Everton with around 25 minutes to play. The Portugal international was pictured with his ankle heavily strapped in ice and is now a doubt for this week’s tie against Arsenal.
Lisandro Martinez and Kobbie Mainoo will also miss the Arsenal match. The pair are due to serve disciplinary suspensions.
Given their manager’s limited options, as well as their impressive form on the pitch, both Zirkzee and Amad are likely to make consecutive league starts.
