Trent Alexander-Arnold was given two hilarious birthday surprises by Jude Bellingham at the England camp.

The Liverpool and Three Lions defender turned 26 on Monday, with Lee Carsley’s side gathering at St George’s Park as they prepare to face Greece and Finland in the Nations League this international break, live on talkSPORT.

Bellingham and Alexander-Arnold were both called up by the interim manager, and the pair have continued to build a bromance since the 2022 World Cup.

So with the Reds star away from his friends and family on his special day, Bellingham went all out to make sure he had the present he thought his mate deserved.

In a clip posted by England’s official X account, a giant banner reading ‘Happy birthday Trent!’ with a huge picture of the birthday boy on is positioned in the lobby.

Bellingham then appears from behind the display, creeping round the side and preparing to jump out at Alexander-Arnold.

It turns out the Real Madrid star had been waiting for a good 20 minutes for Trent to come down, despite spamming him with calls and texts.

Even Bukayo Saka comes through and asks what he’s doing, which leads Bellingham to reply: “Trying to scare Trent! We’ve been planning it all morning.”

Asked if Alexander-Arnold returned the favour on his birthday in June at Euro 2024, he confirmed he did receive a gift.

“Yeah, I got a cake that was like that big with one candle in it,” he laughed, forming a small circle shape with his hands.

Entering back into hiding mode, eventually, Alexander-Arnold comes down the stairs and comes and admires the sign.

But it’s clear the defender knows something is up, as he’s smirking at the display.

“Ahh!” Bellingham shouts at him as he popped his head round the corner.

The pair then embrace as Bellingham wishes him a happy birthday, with the Reds man looking not as scared as his pal would have hoped and appearing pretty chuffed – but Bellingham was buzzing regardless.

Laughing, Bellingham asks him: “How old are you now?”

Attempting to keep a straight face, the Reds man doesn’t quite tell the truth.

“22!” he said, looking at the camera, before Bellingham also shot a similar glace at the lense.

We know how you feel, Trent!

Bellingham recently learnt he will not face any punishment for his actions in the aftermath of Dani Carvajal’s horror injury.

The England hero was involved in an altercation after his teammate suffered a serious knee injury during Real Madrid’s 2-0 win over Villarreal.

Alexander-Arnold, meanwhile, would arguably be a prime target for the European champions as they look for a Carvajal replacement.
