Juventus have been forced to deny the ‘signing’ of Real Madrid playmaker Arda Guler having been targeted by hackers.

The club’s English X account made the shock announcement on Monday afternoon much to the confusion of fans with the transfer window slammed shut.

On Monday afternoon, the Italian giants were posting quotes from head coach Thiago Motta’s pre-match press conference for their Champions League clash against Stuttgart on Tuesday.

But they then dropped bombshell news that an agreement had been reached with Real regarding teenage starlet Guler.

Sharing a picture of the Turkey international getting off a plane, the post read: “Welcome to Juventus, Arda Guler.

“The rising star of football is now part of the Juventus family! Ready to make history together on this new journey?”

Guler was believed to be on Juve’s radar in the summer regarding a potential loan deal, however no move materialised.

And unfortunately for Juve fans, they were trolled by a hacker, with the club’s Italian X account rubbishing the news.

A statement said: “Our Juventus English account has been compromised.

“Please ignore the false information being published on this account.

“We are working on the issue.”

Guler is considered to be one of European football’s most exciting young talents, with his dazzling displays at Fenerbahce earning him a move to the Bernabeu in July 2023.

He joined for around £16.6million and scored six goals in 12 matches during his first season at Los Blancos, which was affected by injury.

But he still managed to pick himself up a Champions League winners medal having been an unused substitute in Real’s 2-0 win over Borussia Dortmund at Wembley.

The 19-year-old then enjoyed an excellent Euro 2024 campaign with Turkey as he netted a goal and assisted two others in Germany.

Guler has made ten appearances for Madrid so far this season though is yet to score or assist for the European giants, who sit second in LaLiga.

Juventus meanwhile are currently third in the Serie A table after eight games with four wins and four draws to their name.

Motta’s side have not won the Italian top-flight since 2020 following the triumphs of Inter Milan, AC Milan and Napoli.

However, they are one of seven sides to have a 100 per cent record in this season’s Champions League so far having beaten PSV and RB Leipzig.
