Keith Wyness reacts to new Arsenal controversy in Man City 115 charges case

Everton's former chief Keith Wyness has insisted the Premier League’s judicial chief being an Arsenal fan will have no bearing on Man City and their 115 charges case.
Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider's Inside Track podcast, the 66-year-old – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – insisted Murray Rosen KC, chair of the Premier League’s judicial panel, is “of impeccable standing and stature”.
Rosen selected the independent commission which will decide Man City’s fate after their hearing over alleged financial rule breaches, which ended earlier this month.
The life-long Arsenal fan will also be responsible for selecting a panel for any appeals after an initial verdict is announced.
City, who have fought the Gunners in recent Premier League title battles, have maintained their innocence throughout the process and challenged Rosen’s involvement when the charges were first announced.
The issue has come back into sharp focus on social media and beyond in recent weeks with a verdict expected within months.
Man City should have no problem with Rosen involvement, says Wyness
Wyness claimed Rosen is of “upstanding character” and insisted his involvement is not in question.
He told Football Insider's Insider Track podcast: "This story has been out for a long time.
"It's Murray Rosen KC, he's declared as an Arsenal fan. It was declared at the time when he was appointment.
"He's of impeccable standing and stature, so there aren't likely to be any issues around that.
"If we were to stop KC's judging things depending on which club they support, we'd run out of people pretty quickly.
"I think we've got to accept the fact that he is a man of upstanding character."
