Burnley goalkeeper James Trafford had a positive message for supporters as they continue their push for automatic promotion to the Premier League.
Burnley came from behind to secure a 2-1 win over Watford, further strengthening their bid for top-flight football as they moved level on 91 points with Leeds United.
After Mamadou Doumbia opened the scoring for the visitors, Zian Flemming and Josh Brownhill responded with second-half goals to turn the game on its head.
Watford’s hopes of a comeback were then dealt a blow when Moussa Sissoko was shown two yellow cards in quick succession, reducing them to ten men.
Burnley's defence stood firm to protect their lead and see out a crucial win, continuing their impressive run of form in the final stretch of the campaign.
Despite ongoing interest from Newcastle ahead of the summer window for Trafford, he shared a update with fans after the match as the Clarets edge ever closer to a Premier League return.
Newcastle United set sights on Burnley star James Trafford after standout campaign
Following Burnley’s vital win, Trafford shared several match highlights on social media, including a superb save, alongside a message to supporters that read: "Good Friday, my good marra" while tagging goalscorer Flemming in the post.
CJ Egan-Riley responded with a light-hearted comment, saying: "Might be the best save I've seen you make since Juventus away in under-13s" while Brownhill simply added: "Just… fair play."
Leeds United goalkeeper Illan Meslier, who has recently lost his starting spot, also showed appreciation by liking the post.
Trafford's outstanding season has not gone unnoticed. Football Insider exclusively revealed that Newcastle United are preparing a "concrete offer" to sign Trafford in the upcoming transfer window.
Under Scott Parker, he has been a key part of Burnley’s resolute defensive record, which has been crucial to their promotion push.
The Clarets have kept 29 clean sheets this season, just one short of the all-time Football League record of 30, set by Port Vale in the 1953-54 season.

Crystal Palace and Everton battle for Burnley defender Maxime Esteve
Burnley's strong defensive displays have also drawn interest in another of their backline, with Crystal Palace and Everton both eyeing a move for Maxime Esteve this summer.
While Burnley are eager to keep hold of the French defender, they may consider letting him go if a sizeable offer arrives, especially with Marc Guehi and Jarrad Branthwaite both being linked with moves away from their respective clubs.
For now, Parker will be hoping his defence can maintain their focus and form as Burnley look to secure automatic promotion back to the Premier League.
