Arsenal have had their fair share of injury woes this season, with numerous key players having been on the sidelines for multiple matches.

One of the biggest absences for the Gunners has been Martin Odegaard, who suffered an ankle injury while on Norway duty just over a month ago.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta went on to tell reporters ahead of the Atalanta game that Odegaard had sustained ligament damage.

However, it looks as though the Gunners midfielder is not far off returning to training and eventually playing again.

Norway manager Stale Solbakken has now provided a positive update on Odegaard’s rehabilitation.

Arsenal star Martin Odegaard on track to be fit by November international break

Solbakken told Norwegian outlet Verdens Gang that the Arsenal ace is on track to be fit by the November international break.

“Everything indicates that things are going according to plan,” he said.

“So it’s about the last steps when you have to train with opponents and in team training. It depends on how he responds to that, but we have a legitimate hope that he is ready.

“I have spoken to him quite regularly. Now that things are starting to move forward, it’s easier, but it’s no fun being injured.

“At the same time, he has rarely been injured, so it is probably a matter of training for him.”

Arsenal ranks depleted ahead of Liverpool clash

There have been some positive updates regarding Arsenal players, with Odegaard on the mend and Riccardo Calafiori’s knee injury not as bad as previously feared.

Despite this, the Gunners face going into Sunday's huge Premier League meeting with Liverpool without numerous key players.

Arsenal are already without Odegaard, Takehiro Tomiyasu and Kieran Tierney through injury.

Meanwhile, Calafiori and Bukayo Saka are unlikely to play and Jurrien Timber is also a doubt.

In addition, William Saliba is suspended for the clash against the Reds after his sending off against Bournemouth at the weekend.

Arsenal may be hanging in there – for the most part – in terms of results, but their personnel situation is becoming concerning.
