Liverpool winger Harvey Elliott and West Ham attacker Crysencio Summerville have both reacted to Ipswich Town ace Omari Hutchinson after his latest update on social media.

Hutchinson spent last season on loan with the Tractor Boys helping them win promotion from the Championship to the Premier League.

The winger then returned to the club on a permanent basis from Chelsea back in the summer transfer window.

Despite helping Ipswich to a shock win over Chelsea around the turn of the year, this has largely been a more difficult season for Hutchinson, with his side facing the prospect of an immediate relegation.

However, this international break has at least now provided some form of respite from club matters for the 21-year-old.

Having been named in the England Under 21s squad for the March round of fixtures things initially did not start off well for Hutchinson.

The Ipswich man was sent off just eight minutes after coming on as a substitute in a 5-1 friendly defeat to France on Friday (21 March).

On Monday though, the winger bounced back in perfect style, playing the full 90 minutes and scoring in a 4-2 win over Portugal.

Taking to Instagram after the game, the Ipswich winger posted a series of images from that match, generating a response from some of his Premier League rivals, who were keen to pay tribute to him.

While Liverpool ace Elliott, who also featured in that win for England Under 21s, replied with a pair of flame emojis, West Ham star Summerville commented on the post with a flame and lightning bolt emoji.

Ipswich Town will want Omari Hutchinson form to continue

Football Insider Verdict

With the international break coming to a close attention will start to turn back to club football for the run in to the end of the season.

For Ipswich that begins with a trip to the Vitality Stadium to face European hopefuls Bournemouth on Wednesday (2 April).

Kieran McKenna’s side are nine points from safety with nine games to play so face a huge task as they fight to stay up.

That is enhanced by the fact they have failed to win any of their last ten league matches since that victory over Chelsea.

Ipswich will therefore hope Hutchinson can replicate some of that form he showed against Portugal, to give them even a glimmer of hope of pulling off a grea escape in the next few weeks.
