Liverpool have been in contact with El Hadji Malick Diouf's agent about a move as they seek the long-term successor to Andy Robertson.
That's according to D Sports and Infotbal, who both say Liverpool are interested in the Slavia Prague youngster.
First D Sports, who report that Diouf is 'at the heart of many desires' this month. According to their exclusive information, Liverpool are eyeing him up as a successor to Andy Robertson.
They consider the 20-year-old as an 'ideal option' for the future and have contacted the player's agent to assess the feasibility of a transfer. They want to get ahead of potential competition and 'prepare for the next generation' with the promising talent.
Crystal Palace have already moved for him and Nottingham Forest and Bournemouth are also interested and have expressed that to him. Slavia Prague, for their part, plan to be uncompromising in their demands and are asking for €25m.
The belief is the youngster could become the subject of a tug-of-war before too long and the next few days promise to be interesting for him.
Infotbal back up that stance, insisting Slavia Prague will demand over €20m for the youngster. They have already rejected a proposal from Crystal Palace, but another is expected to arrive.
Liverpool's 'entry' into the battle would 'really shake up the cards' though and could lead to an interesting struggle between the Premier League sides across the January transfer window.
