Liverpool fans were in unison in their reaction after they received an update on Darwin Nunez's future at the club.
Nunez has faced ongoing speculation throughout the season, struggling to cement a regular starting spot under Arne Slot.
The Dutch manager has often preferred Luis Diaz, Cody Gakpo and Diogo Jota ahead of the Uruguayan, which has only intensified talk of a possible exit.
Football Insider revealed Liverpool are open to accepting offers for Nunez in the upcoming summer window, with Saudi clubs and Atletico Madrid both having shown interest previously.
Despite the uncertainty, Nunez shared a cryptic message with Liverpool supporters recently, but the latest developments suggest his time at Anfield could be coming to an end sooner rather than later.
Fabrizio Romano provides key update on Darwin Nunez future as Liverpool exit looms
Fabrizio Romano has offered a fresh update on Nunez's situation at Liverpool, confirming that both the club and the forward are now aligned on a potential summer departure.
Taking to X, Romano stated: "The plan is clear since February and it hasn't changed: Darwin Nunez, expected to leave Liverpool in the summer.
“After an offer turned down by the club in January from Al Nassr, all options will be considered in the upcoming months."
He added, "Darwin, also open to new chapter."
Liverpool fans slammed the board after the side rejected an approach for Nunez in the January window from Al-Nassr, who ended up prioritising a move for Jhon Duran who signed for the side instead.
It's been an underwhelming campaign for the 25-year-old, who has scored just seven goals in all competitions, with only five coming in the Premier League. His limited impact has only added fuel to the growing calls for change.

Liverpool fans overjoyed in Darwin Nunez transfer update amid exit speculation
Liverpool fans have previously called for Nunez to be sold due to his lack of impact this season as his future at the club remains uncertain.
Some fans didn't hold back on social media, with one commenting: "Good riddance” and another saying: "Good news. But leaving too late for my [liking]. Should have gone since last season."
Should a deal go through, Liverpool are expected to demand a significant fee in return, as they look to recoup a large portion of the huge fee spent almost three years ago.
