Liverpool fans have shown big concern after the state of the squad’s contracts was laid bare on social media.
A graphic from Anfield Watch posted on X (18 February) gave a preview of the negotiations which lie ahead for Arne Slot, Richard Hughes and Reds chiefs.
Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah are already in well-publicised standoffs with the club over new terms with the trio’s deals set to end in June.
But three more key players in Caoimhin Kelleher, Andy Robertson and Ibrahima Konate are out of contract in the following year (2026).
Liverpool fans concerned after major contract update
Beyond that – Alisson Becker, Curtis Jones, Luis Diaz and more are out of contract in June 2027.
Jarell Quansah was the last senior Liverpool star to pen a new deal at Anfield, signing a four-year deal in October 2024.
Kostas Tsimikas, Stefan Bajcetic and the now-departed Adrian all signed new Reds deals in 2023.
Liverpool fans have taken to social media to express their concern, with some directing anger at the FSG ownership and even sporting director Richard Hughes.
Liverpool to offer big name to Newcastle for Isak
One player Liverpool may not need to discuss a potential deal for is Darwin Nunez, who has failed to nail down his place in the Reds side since arriving in 2022.
Football Insider revealed on Tuesday (18 February) that Liverpool will try to tempt Newcastle by offering striker Nunez in part-exchange for Alexander Isak this summer.
Isak, 25, is seen as "perfect" and is the "number one centre-forward target" for Slot and the club's recruitment team.
