Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold goes off injured to deal England huge blow ahead of final Nations League games

Lee Carsley will be sweating over Trent Alexander-Arnold’s fitness after the Liverpool star went off injured against Aston Villa.

The Reds right-back was taken off in the 22nd minute after hitting the deck with no-one around him.

In what appeared to be a muscle injury, Liverpool medics quickly rushed onto the pitch to the 26-year-old‘s attention.

But despite being able to get back to his feet, boss Arne Slot refused to risk letting the defender return to action.

And the Dutchman instead swiftly called on Conor Bradley in his place.

Questions marks will now remain as to whether Alexander-Arnold will withdraw from the England squad.

He has been called up to feature in the final Nations League matches against Greece and Ireland.
