According to a report in the Turkish media, Galatasaray are still looking to keep hold of Barış Alper Yılmaz despite the attention from the likes of Nottingham Forest.

The Premier League side have been linked with the Turkey international since the summer transfer window, following his impressive performances at Euro 2024.

Milliyet report on the latest developments regarding the future of Yılmaz, with the winger being linked with a number of English clubs in recent months.

The Turkish media outlet say Galatasaray Okan Buruk has been speaking to the player and he's trying to convince him to remain in Istanbul.

Buruk reportedly wants Yılmaz to be patient over his next career move and the Gala coach will look to block any transfer in this window.

Only five days ago we covered reports from Turkey that Nottingham Forest will make a new attempt to sign Yılmaz after previously tabling a bid of €25m towards the end of the last transfer window.

It's claimed Forest haven't given up in their pursuit to sign the 24-year-old and are likely to come back in for him.

Yılmaz is contracted to the Super Lig champions until June 2027.
