Two months ago, Manchester City star Rodri suffered a serious knee injury and is out for rest of the season. The Ballon d’Or winner’s setback has seen the Citizens get linked to a few midfielders for the winter market.
On October 2nd, we covered claims from Italy that Atalanta’s Éderson is one of the names on Manchester City’s list.
Fast forward to November and Mundo Deportivo covers Manchester City’s interest in the 25-year-old. He’s been a regular for La Dea and made 17 appearances in all competitions this season.
When describing Éderson, Mundo state: ‘A hard-working midfielder who positions himself as a pivot although gifted with good handling of the ball.’
Taking the midfielder’s fine displays into account, it’s ‘not surprising’ Pep Guardiola’s side, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain want to secure his services.
The Brazilian has been on the radar of several clubs in the past. At this moment in time, Mundo state there would be three teams ‘closest to recruiting’ him. Those are Manchester City, Juve and PSG.
The report adds the interested parties know at least €60m is needed to take him away from La Dea. There’s no mention whether Manchester City are willing to meet Atalanta’s request for Éderson.
