Man United ace Mason Mount has taken to social media to share an update on his recovery after his most recent injury setback.

The 26-year-old picked up a muscle injury in United’s last-gasp 2-1 Premier League win over local rivals Man City earlier in the season.

Mount has since missed their last five games across all competitions, coinciding with a winless streak that has seen them continue to languish in the bottom half of the Premier League.

Speaking in his press conference after their 4-3 League Cup defeat to Tottenham earlier in the season, Ruben Amorim confirmed Mount will be out for "several weeks."

Amorim added: "I don't know the exact date, but it's going to be for long. And that's it, it's part of football, and you continue."

The attacking midfielder has only managed to make 32 appearances for Man United since joining from boyhood club Chelsea for £55million back in the summer of 2023.

Mount admitted that he was “devastated” after his most recent setback, reassuring fans that he’s “not going to give up” in an online statement.

He has since shared a more positive message, taking to Instagram to post an image of himself training with the caption: “Birthday spin.”

It remains unclear exactly when Mount will be fit again, with United having six games in January alone, including crucial Europa League fixtures against Rangers and FCSB.

United will travel to Arsenal for their first FA Cup game of the season on Sunday (January 12), hoping to end their winless streak.
