Tottenham defender Alfie Dorrington is undergoing a medical at Aberdeen on Monday morning after agreeing a deal, sources have told Football Insider.
The centre-back, 19, has headed to the Scottish Premiership club to put the finishing touches to a loan move.
Tottenham have agreed a deal with Aberdeen for Dorrington to join on loan for the second half of the season.
The move will allow the teenager to gain some valuable game time while benefiting the Scottish Premiership side by bolstering their defensive options.
The Dons are currently fourth in the Scottish Premiership after 22 games, but their defensive record is weaker than all of those above them.
Aberdeen have let in 30 goals so far this season, which is why Jimmy Thelin is looking to improve this area of his squad.
Tottenham are allowing Alfie Dorrington to progress his career
Aberdeen nee defensive reinforcements after injuries to Gavin Molloy and Jack Milne has left them short at the back.
The Dons have already signed Kristers Tobers and Jeppe Okkels during this transfer window as the Scottish side are looking to enhance the squad to remain competitive in the league.
From a Spurs perspective, the move will allow the teenager to gain some valuable experience on a more regular basis.
Dorrington has been at Tottenham's academy since 2018 and has been progressing through the ranks which led to him making his first-team debut last month against Southampton.
The young defender is currently under contract at Spurs until 2026.
