On New Year’s Eve, UOL reported Casemiro has agreed to leave Manchester United and could move to Saudi Arabia in the winter market.

It was also stated the Public Investment Fund [PIF], who own multiple clubs in Saudi, are keen on signing him.

UOL’s report was co-authored by Bruno Andrade, and he’s now provided more updates on the Manchester United player’s situation for Os Donos da Bolas.

According to the journalist, the 32-year-old’s time at Manchester United could come to an end soon.

The PIF have stakes at Al-Hilal, Al-Nassr, Al-Ittihad, Al-Ahli, Al-Ettifaq and Al-Qadisiyah. Andrade states the Saudi group have secured an agreement with the midfielder and one key detail still needs sorting out to complete his transfer in January.

“Casemiro is a player who is very close to leaving Manchester United. The Sovereign Fund, from Saudi Arabia, which manages the main clubs in the country, practically closed the contract,” he said.

“The Saudis have the habit of defining the club later. There is a lot of talk about Al-Nassr, but it is still not certain. The definition of the club will be made later.”

On Wednesday, Marca journalist José Félix Díaz reported Cristiano Ronaldo wants the Manchester United player at Al-Nassr. The duo enjoyed a successful spell at Real Madrid in the past and the Portuguese is keen on reuniting with Casemiro in the Middle East.

The Brazilian has one league start in last seven Premier League matches and that came because Manuel Ugrate was serving a one-game suspension.

Manchester United would favour offloading Casemiro as he’s one of the top earners at Old Trafford.
