Mohamed Salah has revealed he is 'more out than in' at Liverpool having still not received an offer of a new contract.

The Egypt international is out of contract at the end of the season along with Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk.

Liverpool are desperate to keep all three with Salah perhaps the biggest priority, demonstrating how important he is yet again with a brace in the 3-2 win over Southampton on Sunday.

After scoring the penalty that sealed all three points, Reds legend Jamie Carragher bellowed on commentary, 'Salah's got his bow, now give him his dough!' in reference to the forward's crossbow celebration and his expiring contract at Anfield.

But Salah has dropped bombshell comments claiming there have been no offers from the club, admitting he future at the club is out of his hands.

'We are almost in December and I haven’t received an offer to stay at the club yet so I am probably more out than in,' Salah said.

'I have been at the club for many years. There is no club like this but in the end it is not in my hands. As I said before, it is December and I haven’t received anything yet about my future.'

Salah expressed his disappointment with the lack of dialogue with the club over a new deal but insisted his focus remains on firing Liverpool to the Premier League title with the Reds currently eight points clear at the top.

'Of course, yes [I am disappointed].

'I’m not going to retire soon. I’m focusing on the season and I’m trying to win the Premier League and hopefully the Champions League as well. I’m disappointed but we will see.'

With his contract, believed to be worth £350,000-a-week, up at the end of the season, Salah will be free to sign a pre-contract agreement with clubs outside the Premier League from January.

He has previously been made a top transfer target for clubs in Saudi Arabia but Salah, who voluntarily spoke to reporters on Sunday after the game at St Mary's did 'not want to speak about that''.

Salah has scored 12 goals and laid on 10 assists in 18 appearances for Arne Slot's side this season.
