Mohamed Salah seems unbothered by all the speculation surrounding his Liverpool future as he shares new post on social media.
Liverpool’s talismanic forward is one of three star players, alongside Captain Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold, who have contracts expiring in six months time.
The Egyptian made headlines with his message to former Liverpool player Jamie Carragher, claiming the pundit was “obsessed” with him.
The Red’s most recent result was a 2-2 draw with Manchester United, a game in which Salah scored in as he continues to lead the Premier League’s golden boot race.
Liverpool continue to stay quiet regarding Mohamed Salah’s contract
Salah has made it clear, both privately and publicly, that he would like to remain at Liverpool, however, he now seems resigned to the fact that this will be his last year on Merseyside [Sky Sports], amid strong links to the Saudi Pro League.
The Egyptian would represent a huge coup for the Middle Eastern league as he is arguably the sport’s most famous Muslim player.
However, Salah seems to have made it clear he’s enjoying this year as a Liverpool player in a new post on social media.
The smiling Salah is joined in the photo by teammates Ibrahima Konate and Konstantinos Tsimikas as they travel to face off against Tottenham Hotspur in the EFL Cup semi-final.
Liverpool’s next Premier League game sees them go against surprise title-challengers Nottingham Forest on 14 January.
Much has been made of his use of social media throughout the contract standoff with the club, but combined with this ongoing performances on the pitch he appears to be making clear he is still as much a Red icon as ever.
