Morgan Rogers has responded after Cole Palmer revealed what he has been up to away from Chelsea over the Christmas period.

The England international has been having another fine season for the Blues as his stock continues to rise to the point where he is now one of the highest profile players in the Premier League.

However, it seems the 22-year-old is still keen to avoid the limelight at times, after he posted a series of photos on his Instagram page showing himself at a Winter Wonderland event at Hyde Park in London.

Many of the pictures show the Chelsea star with his hood up and face covered by a snood seemingly to hide his identity.

Another of those pictures also showed a box of chips being held by Palmer, and it was that which would get the attention of Rogers.

Replying to that post by his former Man City academy teammate, the current Aston Villa star wrote: “Nice fries bro”.

Man City may wonder ‘what if?’ over Chelsea and Aston Villa duo

Football Insider Opinion

It has of course been a very tough time of late for Palmer and Rogers’ former club Man City, with just one win in the last 11 games for the Premier League champions.

By contrast, these two are excelling in the top-flight of English football for Chelsea and Aston Villa respectively.

As a result those at the Etihad may well be questioning the decisions they made in allowing the pair to depart.

If they still had the quality of these two to call upon then things might be very different for Man City at this moment in time.

Indeed, despite the fact they are at two different clubs in Chelsea and Aston Villa, the pair do still seem to have a strong relationship with each other.

They could therefore surely work well together if they were to be reunited on the pitch in the future, and clubs other than Man City may well have that in mind for the future too.

In other news, Chelsea and Brentford could find themselves in trouble with the FA it has been suggested.
