Arsenal dropped yet more points in the Premier League at the weekend as they were held to a 0-0 draw by Everton.
The Gunners struggled to break down a resolute Toffees defence at the Emirates as Toffees goalkeeper Jordan Pickford delivered a solid display.
In the end, Arsenal had to make do with a shares of the spoils as they missed out on a chance to close the gap on Premier League leaders Liverpool.
Arsenal legend David Seaman spoke about the game on the Seaman Says podcast and shared what his son did at the match that said a lot about the Gunners’ performance.

David Seaman says son ended up at the bar during Arsenal v Everton
Seaman admitted that Arsenal’s draw with Everton was a “bad result” and revealed that his son told him that he ended up at the bar rather than watching the end of the game.
The former Gunners goalkeeper said: “I was watching it on TV – I say I was watching it, I watched it on the highlights – and I saw Jordan Pickford have a great game, he was making a lot of saves.
“So, as much as it was a bad result, you know, we’re still creating chances.
“I’m trying to make a positive out of what wasn’t a great game. My son went to the game and he said, ‘I ended up in the bar dad!'”
Seaman on Arteta’s ‘strange’ substitutions
Seaman went on to criticise the Arsenal manager’s substitutions in the game, echoing Karen Carney’s comments on Arteta’s “strange” decisions.
“I understand the Declan Rice substitution, because he felt a knock or something, he goes off,” he said.
“But with Odegaard, I just think… I think it was Tim Sherwood on Soccer Saturday and he was saying that if this doesn’t work this is a really strange decision, taking your best player off for tactical reasons.
“You can’t rest him when you’re 0-0, you know, you’re fighting to get back in the race… strange decision.”

Arsenal just don’t click as well when Odegaard is not on the pitch, and it doesn’t seem like he was carrying a knock, so maybe Arteta was just prioritising him for the Carabao Cup clash with Crystal Palace.
