Newcastle United in Sunday afternoon transfer talks – Magpies not wobbling from position

Lloyd Kelly was on the bench for Newcastle United for their Premier League clash against Southampton.
The defender hasn’t featured in the club’s past three league games and this has happened amid speculation about his future at St James' Park.
Juventus have been linked with the player and have held talks for his signing already. Despite not really getting anywhere so far, they haven’t given up.
TuttoSport have reported today that the 26-year-old remains Juve’s 'priority target' despite the signing of Renato Veiga from Chelsea.
Talks between the Bianconeri and Newcastle United were held yesterday afternoon but nothing really came of it.
The Magpies are very clear in their stance and are against a loan deal without an obligation. They only want a permanent sale, whereas Juventus want to try the player first.
The report indicates that while West Ham’s Jean-Clair Todibo is also a target for the Bianconeri, things will change if Newcastle United wobble from their position. That could prove to be a key point and Juve could then accelerate their move for Kelly.
As of now, the Old Lady are playing the waiting game.
