West Brom have been going well enough in the Championship but have been without Carlos Corberan since Christmas Eve.

The Spanish boss signed a contract with Albion signing on until 2027 but Valencia signed him on a three-year deal for a big move to La Liga and the Championship side have yet to replace him.

Numerous candidates have emerged since with many names coming and going.

Including at big odds – with the likes of Jesse Marsch and John Terry at 33/1.

And with no deal yet in place any of these odds can change as the betting remains wide open, despite Tony Mowbray being the favourite ahead of Sean Dyche.

One surprising name among the list is former Man United centre-back John O’Shea at 33/1.

The Irishman has been involved in a few clubs set ups as a coach, with managerial experience as the interim boss for the Republic of Ireland.

He could be appointed for his first ever managerial role in English football but remains a huge price amongst a long list of potential candidates also at 33/1, including Steven Gerrard, Tony Pulis, Paul Ince and Ole Gunnar Solksjaer.

Steven Schumacher has appeared as a contender in a few manager markets since leaving Stoke in September after just 32 games in charge.

He did well with Plymouth across two years at the club winning a total of 57 games from a total of 108 and as a result has been strongly linked with most managerial roles in the EFL since.

But it’s Mowbray who leads the betting just narrowly ahead of Dyche, the former Burnley and Everton boss.

Mowbray ‘regrettably’ left Birmingham back in May after just eight games in charge having lost three games in just eight matches as the Blues looked to avoid relegation.

Mowbray was manager at West Brom between October 2006 and June 2009 and could be welcomed with open arms in their bid to achieve promotion back to the Premier League.
