Leeds United’s return to the Premier League next season could have significant ramifications both at Elland Road and further afield.

Daniel Farke‘s side made it back to the top-flight at the second attempt in the wake of two results on Monday, as Burnley’s win over Sheffield United sealed Leeds‘ place after they hammered Stoke City 6-0.

The Peacocks’ return to the Premier League is set to bring about major changes at Elland Road, not least the plans of owners 49ers Enterprises to redevelop Leeds’ stadium into one of English football’s largest.

With promotion secured and the Championship title still to play for with two games left, Leeds’ focus will soon be on the summer transfer window and which members of their squad are ready for the top level.

Largie Ramazani front and centre of Leeds celebrations

Although he’s been restricted to a pit-part role off the bench since his return from a mid-season ankle injury at Elland Road, Ramazani is one of several players Leeds fans will hope to see more of next term.

Leeds have a plethora of talent out wide in the form of Ramazani, Dan James, Wilfried Gnonto and Manor Solomon, and may not need to strengthen out wide if the Tottenham loanee’s spell becomes permanent.

Farke’s squad packed into Elland Road’s Bremner suite to celebrate Burnley’s promotion-clincher against Sheffield United, and Ramazani was one of several has who posted on Instagram (22 April) afterwards.

Ramazani’s message – captioned with “no words” – received responses from players at Leeds and other clubs aplenty, as well as one from his former Belgian youth international team-mate Nico Raskin.

Raskin, whose club Rangers are set to become part of the 49ers Enterprises’ umbrella, left a three-word response to Ramazani, saying: “What a guy”.

Nico Raskin raises Rangers to Leeds links

The 49ers’ soon-to-be-sealed takeover of Rangers is expected to make potential transfers between Ibrox and Elland Road musher smoother, and Raskin could be one key player who changes ranks.

Football Insider revealed last month that Leeds are big fans of Raskin and keen to test Rangers’ resolve this summer, and the allure of Premier League football could be head-turner for the Belgium midfielder.

Sources told Football Insider on 5 April that Raskin and Hamza Igamane are two players Rangers’ new owners want to build a new-look team around, and it remains to be seen how the 49ers will handle a move for a player both clubs are fond of.
