Nicolas Jackson issues three-word statement to Chelsea fans amid winless run
Today at 05:28 AM
Nicolas Jackson shared a message on social media to fans as Chelsea gear up to face Morecambe in the FA Cup.
The Blues' struggles continued with a 1-1 draw against Crystal Palace on 4 January, marking their fourth consecutive match without a win.
Jackson, too, has endured a tough spell, failing to find the net during this period. His last goal came in the match against Brentford on 15 December.
Despite this, the forward remained upbeat, sharing a collage of training photos on Instagram. He captioned the post: "This is it" showing his determination to bounce back.
Chelsea have the perfect opportunity to bounce back
The 23-year-old striker has enjoyed a stellar season under Enzo Maresca, racking up an impressive 12 goals and assists across all competitions.
His consistent form has seen him become a key figure for Chelsea, starting 18 Premier League matches—a testament to his importance in the system.
However, this has come at the expense of other forwards, such as Christopher Nkunku. The Frenchman has struggled for opportunities and has been linked by fans with a potential move to Manchester United.
Despite Jackson’s strong start to the season, the striker is currently enduring a four-match scoring drought. Maresca’s team have failed to capitalise on favourable fixtures during this period, suffering defeats to Fulham and Ipswich and drawing with Everton and Crystal Palace.
Nevertheless, the squad remains optimistic despite recent struggles. Midfielder Enzo Fernandez also recently posted a positive training update on social media, reflecting the team's determination to turn their fortunes around.
Chelsea face a packed January schedule, including a tough clash with Pep Guardiola's revitalised Man City side. Before that, however, Maresca will shift his focus to the FA Cup, with a favourable tie against League Two outfit Morecambe at Stamford Bridge on 12 January.
The manager will hope for a stronger domestic cup run than in the Carabao Cup, where Chelsea exited early following a disappointing defeat to Newcastle.
In other news, West Ham are plotting a move to sign a Chelsea midfielder in the January transfer window.
