Nicolas Jackson responds to controversial Moises Caicedo post after Arsenal defeat

Chelsea were defeated by Arsenal on Sunday (16 March) as their hopes of securing Champions League football were dashed, much to the frustration of Moises Caicedo.
It was a London derby to forget for the Blues in a game where they struggled to cause any problem for Mikel Arteta's team, having just two shots on target throughout the game.
Mikel Merino scored in the 20th minute of the game, and Chelsea never came close to responding to that as the Gunners kept them out.
The result saw the Blues fail to capitalise on the fact that Man City dropped two points against Brighton as they didn't create a bigger gap between them.
Instead, Maresca's men remain just a single point above the defending Premier League champions in fourth place as they aim to finish in a Champions League position.
However, Newcastle could overtake both Chelsea and City in the Premier League table if they win their game in hand.
Nicolas Jackson responds to upbeat Moises Caicedo claim
Moises Caicedo was at the heart of Chelsea's midfield against Arsenal, but he was unable get a commanding grip of the game.
Match Stats | Caicedo |
Accurate Passes | 48/52 (92%) |
Touches | 76 |
Passes Into Final Third | 3 |
Defensive Actions | 6 |
The Colombia international reflected on the defeat on Instagram by saying, "It wasn't a good result but proud of the team”.
His pride in a malfunctioning team may not go down so well with Chelsea supporters who have been very critical of the team’s wretched post-Christmas form.
"See you after international break. 9 games to go, let's go all together," with Nicolas Jackson responding by saying, "Vamos bro."
Enzo Maresca is under increasing pressure at Chelsea
Maresca might have only joined Chelsea last summer, but he is already under pressure at Stamford Bridge due to their mixed performances and results this season.
Certain Chelsea supporters have called for Maresca to be sacked by the club, and being defeated by Arsenal will not help in that regard.
The Blues will be back in action on 3 April when they have another London derby against Tottenham.
